Achnabreac
Woodland paths lead to prehistoric cup-and-ring carvings at Achnabreac. Families can explore ancient rock art or choose the short Dragonfly Trail around a wetland area when that route is open.
Before you go
Harvesting is active near the car park and may close parking spaces or walking trails at short notice. The Dragonfly Trail can close briefly, while the Cup and Ring Trail is advertised as remaining open. All Firetower Mountain Bike Trail sections are closed for construction work. The Cup and Ring Trail is moderate, with steep sections, boardwalk steps and vehicles on the forest road. Parking charges apply. Check for ticks after your visit and remove them promptly.
