Balmaha
Wooded shores at Balmaha offer a Loch Lomond outing with picnic tables and a play area beside the National Park Visitor Centre. The Millennium Forest Trail adds a walk through oakwoods and up to the Craigie Fort viewpoint.
Before you go
The Millennium Forest Trail is moderate, with rough rock, steep gravel, long flights of uneven steps and two road crossings. A fallen boulder is reported near Craigie Fort; take care passing it. Council parking charges apply. Check for ticks after your visit and remove them promptly.
