Blackmuir Wood
Woodland trails at Blackmuir pass an old curling pond and lead towards the Touchstone Maze, a labyrinth made from Highland rocks. Families can explore the shorter Red Kite Trail or choose a longer walk to the stone maze.
Before you go
Both waymarked routes are moderate, with long slopes and some uneven or loose ground. The maze route is 2.25 miles. Phased forestry works may cause short facility closures and path diversions. Follow signs. Public toilets are in Strathpeffer. Check for ticks after your visit and remove them promptly.
