Cademuir
Tantah’s Trail makes a shorter loop through larch and pine woodland above Peebles. Families can look for woodland birds and other wildlife without taking the longer climb over Cademuir Hill.
Before you go
The 1.25-mile Tantah’s Trail is moderate and includes steep slopes and occasional muddy ground. The Pilots’ Trail is longer and strenuous. Follow the official road directions, as the nearest postcode is before the forest entrance. Toilets and refreshments are in Peebles. Check for ticks after your visit and remove them promptly.
