Cardenden
Woodland paths lead through a burnside glen and towards the remains of Carden Tower. Families can explore local history outdoors and look for wildlife in the trees on either side of the dual carriageway.
Before you go
There is no dedicated car park. Paths start from Carden Avenue, where the official directions suggest considerate on-street parking. Public toilets are in Cardenden and Kirkcaldy. Watch children closely beside open water. Wear a life jacket if entering the water and avoid alcohol near or in it. Check for ticks after your visit and remove them promptly.
