Why visit

This is a better fit for children who want to climb or ride than families looking for a gentle playground stop.

Bring the right kit

Bring bikes for the tracks, and fall-protection mats if you plan to use the boulders.

Safety

There is open water, and some boulders are over four metres high.

Choose the activity before you arrive

Balance bikes and beginners can start on the easier tracks, while confident older children may prefer the pump track or boulders. If children want different areas, decide where to meet before they split up.

Prams, toilets and arrival

Blue Badge parking and accessible toilets are available, including a radar-key Changing Places toilet. The paths are described as accessible, but they have mixed surfaces, so the most direct route may not be the easiest with wheels. Dalmarnock and Rutherglen stations are around a ten-minute walk away.

Weather and safety

There is little shelter, and rain may rule out cycling or climbing. Children still need close supervision by the river, even if they are confident on the equipment.
