Fearnoch
The Ant Hill Trail explores woodland beside the River Luachragan, with large wood-ant nests and red squirrels to look for. Families can make a wildlife walk through the trees and stop at the picnic area.
Before you go
The 2.25-mile trail is moderate and includes steep slopes and a wide bridge. Tree felling continues beyond the waymarked trails, with extra timber lorries in the area. Follow safety signs and stay out of closed areas. Parking charges apply. Toilets and refreshments are in Taynuilt. Check for ticks after your visit and remove them promptly.
