Opening times
The 2026 main season runs daily from 20 March to 31 October, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Glamis is better than a quick photo-stop castle when you actually want a structured half-day, because the guided interior tour, grounds and food options all work as one visit.
Best for School-age children and older visitors who will get something from a guided heritage tour, plus families who want outdoor space after the interiors

It gives families more shape than a look-at-the-outside castle stop: a 50-minute guided tour, clear grounds routes and easy on-site food once the indoor part is done.
Access
The castle tour includes stairs and uneven surfaces, so the indoor section is not the easiest fit for wheelchairs or families who want to keep a child in a buggy throughout.
