Glen Nant
Ancient oak, birch and hazel woodland surrounds the River Nant. The short Riverbank Trail gives families a gentle route to a picnic spot, with woodland birds, butterflies and unusual multi-stemmed trees to look for.
Before you go
The quarter-mile Riverbank Trail is easy, on firm gravel with one short moderate slope by the car park. The longer Coalers Trail is strenuous and has rough steps, roots and stepping stones. The nearest postcode covers a wide area, so use the official directions to the B845 car park. Watch children closely beside open water. Wear a life jacket if entering the water and avoid alcohol near or in it. Check for ticks after your visit and remove them promptly.
