Opening times
The abbey is open daily, with a 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM pattern from April to September and 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM from October to March.
Jedburgh Abbey is better as a short ruin-exploration stop than a museum-heavy family day. The big reward is the architecture, but the practical question is whether your group is comfortable with steps, gravel, and uneven stone rather than whether children like formal history.
Best for Older children, ruin-exploring families, and Borders days where you want a shorter historic stop rather than a full museum plan
