Larbert Woods
Three easy woodland trails wind through the grounds around Forth Valley Royal Hospital and a small loch. A family walk here can include looking for roe deer, squirrels, frogs and dragonflies.
Before you go
There is no dedicated woodland car park. The official directions suggest considerate on-street parking at Lochview, near Larbert Cross. Buses stop in the hospital grounds. Watch children closely beside open water. Wear a life jacket if entering the water and avoid alcohol near or in it. Check for ticks after your visit and remove them promptly.
