Why visit

With no more than 12 children in each one-hour session, it is easy to plan as a short indoor outing. The café, baby facilities and step-free layout keep the practical side straightforward.

Best for

Babies, toddlers and preschoolers who enjoy small-world role play in a smaller group.

Not ideal for

Children looking for a large climbing frame, big slides or a long, high-energy soft-play visit.

Main watch-out

Sessions last one hour and hold no more than 12 children, so book if you need a particular time; walk-ins depend on space.

What children can do

The play is built around familiar pretend settings, so children can move between small-world areas and make up their own stories. It is more about serving, shopping and copying everyday jobs than climbing through a large soft-play frame.

Babies have gentler soft-play and sensory activities. The one-hour format makes it easier to try the venue without committing to a long indoor session.

Who gets the most from the session

Pretend play is the main draw here, especially for children who like copying grown-ups and inventing stories. Babies have gentler play, and older siblings can join in rather than sitting out.

Children who mainly want big slides or climbing challenges may find it too gentle.

Booking, walk-ins and session timing

Standard sessions last one hour. You can book online or walk in when there is space, but booking is the safer option if you need a particular time because each session is capped at 12 children.

If plans change, contact the venue directly. It can move bookings when a child is unwell, but cancellation terms should be checked for your session.

Café and baby facilities

The café serves light food, children’s meals and drinks, and each child booking currently includes one complimentary hot drink. Highchairs, bottle warming and drinking water are available.

There is a dedicated baby-changing area with nappy bins. Outside food and drink are not normally allowed in the play areas, except for babies or a specific dietary need; message the venue before booking if allergies or dietary requirements affect your visit.

Step-free access, buggies and parking

The route from the pavement through reception, café, toilet and play areas is step-free. Buggies are welcome, with storage available inside.

There is no dedicated visitor car park. The venue suggests the Howgate, Asda or bingo car parks, and reports around eight on-street Blue Badge spaces plus the option of a short drop-off. Check current signs, charges, time limits and customer restrictions before leaving the car.

If your child needs a quieter session

If a quieter or lower-capacity visit would make the difference, message the venue before booking. A dedicated option is being considered but is not available yet.
