Children can follow a short trail, look from a hide and see what changes between viewpoints. The play area gives younger visitors a chance to move when they have had enough of quiet watching.
Prams, access and flooding
The flat trails make this a practical option for buggies and wheelchairs, and the main route is described as all-access. After heavy rain, any of the trails can flood, so check conditions before relying on them.
Plan a realistic wildlife visit
Take binoculars if you have them and bring a snack, but treat any sightings as a bonus. If the wildlife stays out of sight, children still have the paths, hides and play area to explore. Check visitor-centre and toilet hours before travelling, especially if you are planning an early or late visit.
