Thornielee
The short Meadow Trail explores butterfly meadows and pine woodland at Thornielee. Families can look for anthills, watch for butterflies in season and stop at seats along the route or the picnic area.
Before you go
The half-mile Meadow Trail is easy, with loose stones, short moderate slopes and a few steeper ramps. The longer Cairn Trail is strenuous. Public toilets are in Innerleithen and Galashiels. Check for ticks after your visit and remove them promptly.
