Torrieston
The Black Burn Trail loops through pinewoods with picnic tables and places to rest beside the burn. This short woodland route gives families a gentle walk and a chance to look for birds and other wildlife.
Before you go
The Black Burn Trail includes a road crossing and two bridges. Harvesting and haulage in Monaughty Forest bring rolling closures and diversions, so follow safety signs and operators’ instructions. Parking charges apply; shops and toilets are in nearby towns. Watch children closely beside open water. Wear a life jacket if entering the water and avoid alcohol near or in it. Check for ticks after your visit and remove them promptly.
