Wester Moffat
A local woodland beside the Calder Water, with gravel paths for walking and cycling. Families looking for a shorter outing can use the 800-metre firm, flat route at the top of the site.
Before you go
Other paths have long, moderate slopes. The small parking area on Towers Road has room for three cars. Public toilets and refreshments are in Airdrie town centre. Watch children closely beside open water. Wear a life jacket if entering the water and avoid alcohol near or in it. Check for ticks after your visit and remove them promptly.
